This is not just another music player.
We designed this music player for the professional teacher, sports trainer or dance instructor for who it is very important to have a good view on the progress of the song.
- a large view on elapsed time
- view on rest time
- song location in playlist
- cover of song
- view if the song is on the device or in the cloud
- a progress bar
Selection of music is based on the selection of a playlist created in the iOS music application. The app does not allow to create playlist. Playlists needs to be created in the Apple Music app.
The playlist can contain your own songs, songs from iTunes store or songs in Apple Music (for this you need an Apple Music subscription) .
In the list of playlists you can see which songs are on the device and which songs are still in the cloud. Might be interesting if you plan to teach in a location where you have no connection with the internet.
Besides the buttons in the application, all important functions (play/pause, forward, rewind, song selection, playlist selection) can be activated by swipes and taps on the screen. This is easier if you are in a training session.
- Tap on screen (toggles play/pause)
- Swipe left/right on the screen (forward/rewind)
- Swipe up (playlist selection)
- Swipe down (song selection)
Detection of offline mode and autoswitch to offline mode when the network disappears. In offline mode only songs that are local on the device will be listed and can be played. If no Wifi is available the app starts in offline mode but this can be overridden with a button (cloud icon) in the playlist view.
... and if you wonder what the name of the application means: DisPlay226
DisPlay Its a combination of Display and Player
226 is the average length in seconds of a song in the top 100 iTunes (at that moment)
